Lemon Beach Resort
Our Story
Built with love, run with purpose
Lemon Beach Resort was born from a friendship between David Duron, a Czech entrepreneur with a love for West Africa, and Kofi, a Ghanaian with deep roots in the Elmina community. Together, they saw an opportunity to create something different on the Gold Coast — a place where international standards meet authentic Ghanaian hospitality.
Over the past decade, that vision has grown into a boutique resort that employs over 40 local staff, supports community projects through the Lemon Family foundation, and welcomes guests from across the world. Every detail — from the locally sourced timber to the hand-painted room accents — reflects a commitment to quality and cultural authenticity.
This is not a cookie-cutter resort. It is a place built by people who care deeply about Ghana, about their guests, and about doing things the right way.

The Beach
Our stretch of coast
The resort sits directly on the Atlantic coastline. In front of the property, a stone sea defence (breakwater) protects the shore from erosion — a common feature along this part of the Gold Coast. It creates calm, sheltered waters ideal for wading and watching spectacular sunsets.
For traditional sandy beach swimming, a beautiful stretch of open sand is just 150 metres east of the resort — a two-minute walk. Our staff can set up chairs and umbrellas for you there.
Good to know: The sea defence keeps the resort grounds safe year-round and creates a unique, sheltered waterfront. The sandy beach nearby offers the full open-ocean experience.
